A bird home project has been inaugurated in Mumbai’s Marlakur neighbourhood.
A group of locals have built a bird house in MarlAKur for the benefit of the bird.
The home was constructed by an NGO that works for the protection of endangered species.
The bird house is located on the third floor of a house, and is surrounded by a canopy.
“This project was initiated after a meeting held at the local administration to decide how to provide support for bird-loving residents in Marladha district,” said Manish Mehta, spokesperson of the Bird Protection Project.
The Bird Preservation Society of India (BPI) was founded in 2009, and aims to save the endangered bird population.
The group works for protecting the birds and their habitats from encroachment, poaching, and habitat destruction.
